For the vegans, lactose intolerant and more health-conscious people among us, dessert often becomes an internal battle. Do I eat this incredible-smelling chocolate cake even if it violates my cruelty-free morals? Or if it will throw my stomach into turmoil? Or if I’m trying to eat healthily? Luckily, this recipe avoids that struggle altogether.

Before you rule out a dessert with a *gasp* green vegetable in it, don’t overlook the creamy nature of avocado whose flavor will be overtaken by chocolate and sweetener. Although this mousse is vegan and dairy-free, it definitely has the flavor to win out over its more indulgent counterparts.
